WHO WE ARE

About us

Home of the Congo Cockatoo Plant

We specialise in a wide range of Tropical Impatiens and of course the iconic Impatiens Niamniamensis Parrot Plant also known as The Congo Cockatoo Plant.

Tropical species of Impatiens are beautiful and exotic plants that thrive well inside the home.

Based in Chichester, West Sussex we offer an online service catering for the whole of the UK.

We are constantly adding new weird and wonderful lines to our shop so keep an eye out for what's new.

As a grower we have been supplying high quality impatiens around the UK since 1995 and have been using our current name since 2015. As a business we have evolved a lot in the last few years. We are commited to not only being the leading supplier of tropical impatiens, but have pledged against the use of single use plastics, harmful chemicals & pesticides.

We do not use mains water, utilising nature at it's best, the rain. During the warmer, drier months we use the excess rain water we have stored.

All of our packaging is eco-friendly too.

About Congo Cockatoo

Sustainable change is positive change.

We do not agree with using commercial chemicals for pest control or fertilisers.

You can eradicate pests such as spider mites simply by using neem oil, which is non-toxic (when used correctly) and biodegradable - find out more about neem oil pest sprays here. Similarly, fertilising plants is as easy as using just Kelp, which is packed full of nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus, and is very abundant.
